Lay-by Terms & Conditions
Minimum value – Lay-by is available on purchases of $50 or more.
Service Fee – A $5 non-refundable service fee will be charged for each new standard 12 week Lay-by. A $5 non-refundable service fee will be charged for all lay-by’s where the lay-by term is extended (up to a maximum of 24 weeks depending on when the purchase is made).
Deposit – Each new Lay-by requires a minimum 20% deposit, or a 10% deposit for pensioners who present a valid Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink at the time of purchase in-store (not yet available for online Lay-by).
Exclusions – Lay-by is not available for Home Delivery only (certain exemptions apply), clearance and discontinued products, prepaid cards and vouchers, perishable products, and products specifically excluded in- store or in promotional materials.
Term – Standard lay-by is available on a 12 week term and must be paid in full and collected by the finalization date printed on the receipt. During some Sale event/s, the lay–by term is extended (up to a maximum of 24 weeks depending on when the purchase is made) and therefore the lay-by must also be paid in full and collected by finalization date printed on the receipt.
Payments – Minimum fortnightly payments of $20 are required. Payments may be made at the Front Desk, by direct deposit into the account noted on the receipt or any manned registers in store. The final payment must be made in store where your Lay-by was set up.
Additional Payments – In addition to the minimum fortnightly payments, you are able to make unlimited installments during your lay-by term.
Payment Methods - Permitted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Amex, debit cards displaying a Visa or Mastercard logo. Accepted gift cards and cash can also be used for in store Lay-bys.
Cancellation – If you cancel your Lay-by, fail to make payments when they are due, or fail to collect Lay-bys by the due date we will refund you all amounts paid, minus a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the purchase price, this varies based on the resale advertising, discount requirements, labor and management costs of the lay-by cancellation. This is in addition to the $5 Lay-by service fee already paid for standard 12 week Lay-by’s or the $5 Lay-by service fee already paid for Lay-by’s made during Sale events.
No Modification – Lay-by orders cannot be modified.
Collection – The Lay-by must be paid in full before goods can be taken.
Identification – Photo identification is required in-store when collecting your Lay-by order, changing contact details, requesting a replacement Lay-by receipt, or cancelling your Lay-by.
Promotional layby - During promotional events, these terms and conditions may vary. See us in store for updated information. Please note that during Sale events, the term of each lay-by shall be up to a maximum of 24 weeks (depending on when the lay-by purchase is made) and the service fee shall be $5.
